TARKINE is inspired by a freshly sawn section of tree trunk, the kind found deep in the forest or at the edge of a clearing – where an old tree has fallen and time has made its rings visible to all. The cylindrical form takes up that moment: raw, honest and with a texture that tells of decades of growth. The shade Driftwood picks up the sun-bleached grey of driftwood that has long been exposed to wind and salt water – a reminder of transience and, at the same time, of the constancy of nature. So a piece of furniture emerges from resistant GFRC concrete that carries the poetry of the forest into your own garden.
